How To Paint A Woodpecker (for young artists)

How to paint a woodpecker, is just for young artists who are 5 years old and younger.

Just because my Austin did this, doesn’t mean your 3 year old will be able to do this activity…all kids are different. That’s ok! If they’re not able to, try something easier. For example, you could work with getting your kid to just follow your direction in making one red circle in the middle of the paper. After they complete that step, let them free paint.

Then in your next activity see if they can do a red circle, plus a black triangle. After they do that, let them free paint.

Remember to work on their level, you know them best and what they are capable of doing…challenge them to do new things, but keep it fun and on their level.
