How To Draw A Bee

Bees are not exactly a family favorite around here.

Last summer, Chuckers went to check the mailbox and on his way back to the house a bee stung him right on the side of the neck. He came running into the house yelling, “I got stung! I got stung!” Mom and Hads came to the rescue, but when he turned his neck the bee was still there. Both girls started screaming and running around the house as the bee took off after them. Of course, that didn’t help Chucker’s state of mind, you could imagine what he started to do.

This is how the story was told to me after returning home from work, a real edge-of-your-seat thriller!

Anyways ever since spring has sprung, this year, we’ve been seeing more and more bees. Chuckers has been getting progressively leery about the outdoors.

I hoped that this how to draw a bee lesson will help lessen his fear. Although, I’m realizing it should’ve been more cartoony and the stinger should’ve been much smaller. I may have to do another lesson for him 🙂
