Finger Painting A Spider

Finger painting a spider was a lot of fun, we also had a surprise guest! I’ve also noticed we’ve really been on a finger painting kick…haven’t we? Well, the kids are loving it so I’m not complaining.

One of the things I’ve learned about kids and finger painting (I think I’ve mentioned it before, but it still surprises me) if you let them do whatever, they’ll have fun, but it can get very dangerous with wet paint. If you give them something to paint, you’ll get a completely different result. The kids will be focused, quiet, and careful…well, I only have experience with my kids so hopefully you’ll see the same results.

With this art activity you can use any colors. You could  also make it about primary colors, although we didn’t. I thought it would be fun to use a color they picked.

Finger Painting A Spider Focus:

  • Making a nice circle/oval shape.
  • Counting to eight–four on each side.
  • You could easily make this about primary colors, too…but we didn’t.

If you’re having trouble watching this video, watch Finger Painting A Spider on YouTube!
