Easter Egg and Baby Chick Cutout

This art project was a lot of fun with Hads. We made an Easter egg and baby chick cutout. The top part of the egg opens up and the baby chick sits inside. You can glue the chick down, but we thought it was cooler that she could be removed from the egg entirely.

We used different colors of construction paper, scissors, glue, and oil pastels for coloring the egg.

If you don’t have construction paper, white printer paper will work also. You’ll just need to do more coloring, which sounds like more fun to me.
